BCIN
The Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) designation is divided into several categories. Matt holds the 'Small Buildings', 'Structural', and "Legal' designations, enabling him to design and stamp houses up to three storeys and 6,000 square feet.
BSS
The ‘Building Science Specialist’ designation has become the benchmark qualification of Building Science practitioners. It provides confidence that projects are being viewed through a high-level Building Science lens, including areas such as building envelope systems and energy efficiency.
BCQ
The "Building Code Qualified" designation recognizes professionalism and expertise in the Ontario Building Code. It signifies a thorough understanding of the Code and demonstrates a high level of competency. This designation is one step below the qualification required to become a municipal building official.
CET
The 'Certified Engineering Technologist' designation is granted based on academic qualifications, work experience, and the submission of a technical report in the relevant field of expertise. This certification demonstrates Matt's ability to take on responsibility and exercise independent judgment in the practice of engineering and applied science technology.
